Thank you Kristine for sharing your story. It was truly emotional and beautiful. And yes you have inspired me. This story touched my heart… I wish you nothing but the best and more courage and congratulate you on all your accomplishments to help the Vietnamese community. I can truly say that you are the only role model I have… And your songs are truly touching.
I guess what I’m trying to say is: Thank you for everything Kristine

imperfections are always hard to deal w/ as a child but i feel growing up, you deal w/ less immature and more understanding adults that, hopefully, grow to accept people’s character and surpasses their physical imperfections. i was a fat kid. i mean if back in the days, i obesity was considered, i’d be the first to be diagnosed, children aren’t too accommodating to differences but as we grow older, i guess the purpose we choose to surround ourselves helps eliminate the pain we get.

i haven’t seen it yet cuz it was pretty late last night. but i knew about the polio and the shorter leg thing since grade 7. some mutual frnds of ours would call Yen some terrible names like a-polio 13 and etc. and it infuriated me so i refused to take part in the namecalling.

Kristine, Thanks for sharing this with your audience. It took a lot of courage and strength, but you did it! You are very different, in the fact that you can see the good in things. Not everyone can do that. You’re right, instead of thinking of “what if”s, why not look at the bright side and appreciate things more? It takes a good person to be able to have that perspective. This tells everyone a lot about you. I hope that I’m able to have that perspective as well. stay beautiful :)
